Bitexco Financial Tower

Bitexco Financial Tower, owned by Bitexco Group, a wholly Vietnamese company, is a skyscraper of 68 floors above ground and 3 basements which is currently under construction in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The building was designed by Carlos Zapata Studio, and is located in business district 1 of the city. The groundbreaking ceremony was held in September 2005. Construction of the tower was started in June, 2007 and the tower is due to finished by the end of 2010.

The tower will have more than 16 elevators of the latest generation that can reach any position and any floor in the building within 45 seconds. When the building comes into operation, about 10,000 people will work there. Because of its size, the project is designed with seven basements covering 33,000 square meters for parking and for equipment for the building’s operation. The tower is located on an area of 6,000 m² with the floor area of over 100,000 m². Total estimated cost of this project is more than $220 million. Upon completion, this will be the tallest building in Ho Chi Minh City, reaching 265.5m height.

Hanoi Landmark Tower

Hanoi Landmark Tower is a skyscraper under construction in Hanoi, Vietnam. This tower will have 65 floors and features a modern architectural style. The architect of the tower is Callison, an American company. Once completion, this tower will be among one of the highest buildings in Vietnam. As of 2007, the highest building in Vietnam is Saigon Trade Center in Ho Chi Minh City with 33 stories only. Upon completion, this tower will include offices, entertainment, shopping malls, convention center.

During 2000-2007, Vietnam has achieved an economic growth of 8-8.5%, thus leading to the increasing demand of office and shopping spaces in its big cities like Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Danang, Haiphong has been in rapid rise. Land and housing cost in these cities still keep expensive compared with GDP per capita in the country.

Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower

Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower is a supertall skyscraper under construction in Pham Hung Boulevard, Cau Giay district, Hanoi, Vietnam. The area is reserved for big companies to set up their headquarters there such as Agribank and VNPT. This tower is part of a complex of residences and office towers, including a 70-story office tower with the height of 336 m and two 47-story residence towers. The compound is located on an area of 46,000m2 and the total floor area is 579,000 m2, ranking 5th for the floor area of a single building in the world. The investor of this complex is a South Korea-based Keangnam. The investment capital for this complex is estimated US$ 1.05 billion.

According to the master plan, this complex features a 5-star hotel, offices, entertainment areas, retail spaces, clinics, convention centers, and is scheduled to be completed by 2010. Upon completion, Hanoi Landmark Tower will be the world’s 17th highest building, and will be the highest building in Vietnam. The second highest skyscraper in Hanoi and Vietnam will be the 65-story Hanoi City Complex.
